Dear Camp Greene Family,
As we approach our Spring and Summer activities and leave the cold and gloom of winter behind, the camp team would like to share our appreciation to you for your love and support! We truly could not fulfill this ministry without you. We are looking forward to, yet another year of faith, fun, and fellowship, and we look forward to getting to spend it with all with you.
Moving into this season of action, please keep the team in your thoughts and prayers as we refine our theme of “In it, Not of it.” The theme for this summer is derived from John 17:16, “They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.” Pray that we as God’s children are effectively fulfilling our calling to be the hands and feet of Christ to our darkened world. Pray that we all grow in our faith to become stronger and shine brighter to show that we are destined to greater things. Keep all the children and families of camp in your prayers as well. Pray for health, protection, and soft hearts to hear the Lord and be vulnerable to his word.
Camp is quickly approaching and with it comes the preparation of not only of hearts and minds, but of resources and volunteers which all make the camp ministry possible. Please consider helping to supply Amazon Wishlist items to Camp Greene so we expand our yearly activities beyond where they have ever gone before. If you are willing to volunteer your time to serve, please reach out to one of our team members and they will be more than happy to connect you with the ministry and service opportunity that best fits you. Camp is an awesome opportunity for children to learn and grow in their faith and relationship with their Creator. However, camp is not always an option for every family. At Camp Greene it is vitally important to our mission that all who wish to attend have that opportunity. One way you can help is by giving monetarily to provide scholarships to those who otherwise may not have this opportunity. As with the loaves and fishes, a little goes a long way. Fall 2021
What an awesome year of fun, faith, and fellowship we have had! We have seen so many lives changed during these past years, and we look forward to continuously being a part of changed lives for many years to come. The Camp Greene team is so thankful for the love and support that you have shown the ever-growing Camp Greene family. Although these past two years have been full of unexpected trials and obstacles, God has paved the way for continued growth and has proven time after time that His mercies are new every day. His goodness and grace, often shown through His people, is what ultimately keeps Camp Greene thriving.
Through our phenomenal volunteers, parents, churches, and donors, Camp Greene has accomplished much for The Kingdom. However, the vision is far from complete. It takes volunteers and donors like you to help ensure that an ever-growing number of children and families can experience the goodness and the strength of our Lord.
There are many ways to further this vision. We have a myriad of volunteers who regularly give of their time to serve in different capacities, including being a camp counselor, cooking, or even making repairs to camp assets. Generous supporters also equip our ministry by providing wish-list items for camp events and even sponsoring scholarships for youth in our community who may not otherwise have the fantastic opportunity to attend a summer camp program.
